The sealer I used has been one of the biggest keys to the durability of this project and has held up great. Does anyone have a good idea for an alternative flooring choice for a screen porch. Currently, I have carpet over 3/4 inch treated plywood over 2x10 treated joists 16 in. o.c. and spanning 11 feet. I am considering tile, but wonder if the framing can support it.
Re: plywood floor on porch Unless you seal every microscopic bit of that plywood with paint, primer, or some other sealant (and keep doing so) you WILL have water issues. We are talking bulging, separation of layers, warping, peeling and eventually rotting.
